Paul L. Mason, 58, 410 S. Water street, owner and operator of Citizens Coal & Supply Co. here for 20 years died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Mason was a member of the FIrst United Methodist Church, Eagles Lodge F & AM, POS of a Scottish Rite & Elks Lodge where he was past Exalted Ruler & District Deputy. He served a term on the advisory committee of Logansport State Hospital. He was a 1930 graduate of New Richmond HS and had attended Indiana University. He was a life member of the IU Alumni Association. A native of New RIchmond, he was born Aug 2, 1911, a son of Fred & Emma Ebrite Mason. He was married Dec 21, 1935 at New Richmond to Mary Risinger. Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mary Margaret Mason of San Jose, Calif; and Elizabeth Ann Mason of Ashland, Ohio a sister, Mrs. Merrill Clapp of New Richmond. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wed in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Little officiating. Interment will be in New Richmond Cemetery.
